You remember the folks who studied liner notes (on those things we used to call records) and could namedrop who wrote what song and who played with whom on which album? That’s Michael. Already a serious music nerd, KPIG further honed Michael’s musical tastes when the station popped into his hometown 30 years ago.
Michael eventually started writing and recording his own material and has released five CDs of original tunes. You can now hear him on air, as well, playing his favorite pig artists when he fills in for the other DJs. Outside of the station, Michael performs regularly both solo and with His New Best Friends band. Michael also handles all the pig’s social media and website content.
